MS 248 - Marine Benthic Habitat Techniques 4 units Collection and interpretation of geophysical data used to characterize marine benthic habitats. Basic geophysical principals will be reviewed. Application of techniques to identify and characterize marine benthic habitats, including echosounders, multibeam bathymetry and backscatter, sidescan sonar, seismic profiling, and GIS.
Misc/Lab: Lecture 2 hours; lab/field work 6 hours.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing; MS 141 or instructor consent. Grading: Graded
