FS 167 - Forensic Molecular Biology 5 units History, scientific concepts, methods, practices, instrumentation, interpretation, statistics and court issues of forensic DNA analysis via lectures, hands-on activities/laboratories, and videos. Collection, documentation and preservation of biological evidence, bioethics, QA, validation, admissibility and training will also be covered.
Misc/Lab: Lecture 4 hours/lab 2 hours.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 31 , CHEM 1A , and CHEM 1B Grading: Graded
