CHE 190 - Introduction to Transport Phenomena

Introduction to thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer. Basic thermodynamics with first and second laws. Laminar and turbulent flow of incompressible fluids. Boundary layer analysis. Convection and steady state and transient conduction.

Prerequisite(s): CHE 110A or MATH 33LA with a grade of “C-” or better, PHYS 51 with a grade of “C” or better, CE 95 or CE 99. Or instructor consent.
