BME 25 - Introduction to Biomedical Engineering Design

Introduction to the broader field of biomedical engineering, with emphasis on design of biomedical devices. Development of familiarity with standards and software tools relevant to the biomedical engineering industry, packages for design and analysis, FDA and EU guidelines.

2 hours lecture/3 hours lab.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1A, ENGR 10, with a grade of “C-” or better.
Corequisite(s): MATH 31 or MATH 31X, and PHYS 50.
