MTED 281A - Seminar in Postsecondary Mathematics Teaching I


2 units
First semester seminar in teaching mathematics at the post-secondary level. Students will engage in initial instructor training, plan and present to their peers a sample lecture, attend two peers’ classes and provide a detailed evaluation to each, have their own teaching (at the workshop or course-supplement level) evaluated by peers, and engage in our weekly meetings.

Prerequisite(s): Current standing as a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
Grading: Credit / No Credit

Note(s): This course can not be used to satisfy degree requirements for the MA Math, MS Math and MS Stat programs.
