The Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) concentration, offered by the Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management , equips students with state-of-the-art knowledge of business operations and supply chain management in technology- and data-driven markets. The program emphasizes contemporary operational challenges that affect firms’ ability to collaborate effectively with supply chain partners and remain competitive in today’s economy. Students are prepared for careers across nearly every industry, including manufacturing, healthcare, retail, technology, e-commerce, transportation, energy, entertainment, and consulting organizations.
The curriculum builds this foundation through a three-component structure that supports customized career pathways: three core courses, two skill-development courses, and two electives that allow students to further develop areas of interest. In addition, students have opportunities to engage with industry professionals through the Operations & Supply Chain Management Association (an affiliated student organization at SJSU) and the Silicon Valley Center for Operations and Technology Management.
