The selection of philosophy courses should expose the student to the history, traditions and methods of philosophy in a manner that helps students to productively assess their major course work within a broader philosophical perspective.

University Graduation Requirements

To be awarded a minor, at least 12 units of coursework must be completely distinct and separate from the coursework in the major (University Policy S16-4).
