The College of Graduate Studies assists graduate programs and their faculty and students to succeed. The College of Graduate Studies supports program development, advising faculty in transforming existing degree and certificate programs or building new ones at the post-baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral level. The College of Graduate Studies is also a resource for students seeking scholarships or are facing special challenges such as probation or disqualification. The college helps maintain academic integrity through the fair and consistent administration of various graduate policies, including those issued by the Chancellor and by the university’s Academic Senate. Its Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations (GAPE) division supports students as they enter and work their way through various degree requirements. The College of Graduate Studies interprets and administers the policies and procedures outlined in the sections that follow.
