San José State University is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) - 1001 Marina Village Parkway, Suite 402, Alameda, CA 94501, 510-748-9001, one of the six major regional college accreditation agencies in the United States; the California State Board of Education; and by a number of other agencies in special fields. The Teacher Education programs of the University also are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
