Overview
Social work is a dynamic and challenging profession that presents exceptional opportunities for personal job satisfaction. A professional social worker helps people cope with interpersonal and social problems and obtain the resources they need to live with dignity. Additionally, social workers help communities mobilize and deliver the services and support their citizens require. The School of Social Work is committed to the core values of service, social justice, the dignity and worth of individuals, human rights, competence, integrity and scientific inquiry. We honor diversity. Employing a transcultural perspective, we train our students to practice professionally in a broad range of groups, including Latinos, Asian and Pacific Islanders, African Americans, the disenfranchised and the marginalized. Our undergraduate and graduate degree programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Our On-Campus MSW Program may be completed in two or three years; our Online/Hybrid MSW Program is completed in two years through continuous part-time enrollment.
