ANI 143 - Rigging 3 unit(s) Introduction to character rigging techniques using Maya (software), including: joints, polygonal surface binding, forward and inverse kinematics (FK and IK), blend shapes, constraints, and hierarchical node structures. Students apply these techniques to develop 3D characters for use in animation pipelines.
Prerequisite(s): Instructor Consent, Passage of Mid-Program Portfolio Review. Allowed Declared Majors: Animation/Illustration. Grading: Letter Graded.
