CCS 152 - The Story of Chicana/o Spanish 3 unit(s) Exploration of the origins, development, and innovation of Spanish spoken by Mexican Americans, Chicana/os, and US Latinx peoples. Mapping Chicana/o Spanish from its roots in Mesoamerican civilizations and colonial Mexico to transnational migrations of the twentieth-century, the course explores verbal, visual, poetic, and cultural transformations of Chicanx and US Latin Spanish in the histories of colonial empire and nations.
Prerequisite(s): CCS 1 , CCS 2 . Grading: Letter Graded
