This course reviews the fossil evidence for human evolution. It emphasizes areas of scientific controversy in paleoanthropology by assessing recent fossil discoveries and molecular data. Lectures are supplemented with lab demonstration of modern skeletal materials and reproductions of fossil hominids.

Prerequisite(s): ANTH 12 or instructor consent.
