AE 160 - Aerodynamics I

Aerodynamic forces and moments. Flow classification. Flow similarity. Conservation laws with applications in the calculation of aerodynamic forces. Boundary layer theory; skin friction and pressure drag. Wind tunnel measurements of airfoil drag and boundary layer properties.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 32 , PHYS 50  (with a grade of ‘C-’ or better in each) or graduate standing.
Corequisite(s): ENGR 100W
