CHAD 135 - Development of Language & Literacy in Children 3 units An overview of the development of children’s communicative competence as well as the foundations of language and literacy in the context of a diverse, technologically complex society. Course content covers theories, contexts for development; linguistic diversity, and information/media literacy.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of Core General Education, completion of A3 with a grade of C or better, passage of the Writing Skills Test (WST), passage of 100w, upper division standing, and acceptance into the ChAD BA Credential Program. Grading: Graded
